Fave DT Rapala color?

Meh, I like the baby bass, especially in clear water.  I use the 4 or 6 foot depending, but rarely the 10.

Would like to hear what other people prefer, and for what type of water they use it with confidence in!

Blue shad. As I posted elsewhere, it has a similar pattern to bluegill, so it resembles the primary baitfish where I am, but it has more flash, which I think helps trigger more reaction strikes.

Natural colors are better for clear water, so that's probably what he's talking about, but I'll let him speak for himself  . My favorite are Baby Bass and Bluegill for clear water, and Green Tiger for murky. However, I have caught plenty of bass on the bluegill pattern in murky water.

I second the Blue Shad a great color (for NE Florida rivers and lakes anyway)

Keithscatch turned me onto using red cranks and traps under cold conditions and have found it to be a thumbs up tactic.

I think it really depends on a particular body of water, but I've had a lot of success with the Pearl Gray Shiner DTSS04 and the Bluegill and Blue Shiner DT04

Thats what I assumed, but you never know, like you I have caught my share on natural baits in murky water.  

I also like the craw in some clear areas.  We have a couple power plant cooling lakes just south of San Antonio, and Craw really works well there, considering that is one of the more plentiful critters around there.

Sorry Ill Clarify my answer. I have used the bluegill with great sucess.The lake I fish in most the time is very clear so I guess the answer is clear water. In the fall it was suggested I use crawfish, this was my first year using I think the color is listed as crawfish red . I have had limited sucess with this, in the same mentioned lake I did however have a great day on the Susquehana River with the crawfish pattern That river is a muddy mess So I hope this makes it clearer.

Well,they got some colors coming out and/or are already out but,I like parrot and green tiger in the DT16.That new one that is white w/a lime or bright green back looks like a good un'.

I have also posted this before but,if you take the bluegil and dye it's belly with chartuese worm dye,it works good.BTW, I fish deep offshore structure on a river chain resevoir with DT16's.

Oh yea baby hot mustard and bluegill, if that dotn work use the multispeiecs and the shad silver and black. Multispecies is one my if nothign else is workign becuase its silver,yellow,blue,green,red and black.

I've been wanting to try these for a while so I finally made a trip to BPS after work last night and picked up a DT6 and a DT4 in bluegill and shad. Between the baitmonkey and all the stuff I've read here about these I had to get some. I've been using mostly bandits, wonder if these will work significantly better, either way I'm gonna have fun trying them out.

Now I need to find some time soon before it gets too cold to go out and try them.

I fish very clear lakes, Parrot and Bleeding olive shiner are my favorite colors. I use the DT6 and FT7 baits.

Hey Risk try this its a little bit doifferent than usualcrankin with them, When you get it into the zone DT4 would be around 4 feet reel it past a hump, rock any thing like that then bring it to a dead stop and let the lure do its bouyant thing and watch what happens I got a lot of hits like this Hooking them is another story and I havent mastered that part of it Most of my hook ups this way have been self inflicted by the fish!

DT-4 in red craw has worked for me but my JSR-7's in original craw and baby bass have ruled this fall when it comes to cranks.
