bassen1053 Posted March 21, 2007 Posted March 21, 2007 Can someone please explain the difference when FLW says a person's status is Professional, boater or non-boater. A few friends have all explained it different so I am confused. Quote
topwtr81 Posted March 21, 2007 Posted March 21, 2007 a proffessional is someone that make's his living fishing I believe that in most flw trails at least from stren up. they refer to all boater's as proffessional's the non boater is the co angler in the back of the boat co angler is kinda the politically correct name for a non boater sorta like a garbage man is now a sanitation engineer,. and before someone say's i'm calling non boater's garbage men I'm not it's just the easiest way to explain it I fished as a non boater for a long time and never felt like i should be called a co angler,. bassen1053 Posted March 21, 2007 Author Posted March 21, 2007 Can anyone fish in the flw as a pro or do you have to earn up to that status? Thanks for the help. Quote
squid Posted March 21, 2007 Posted March 21, 2007 IF YOU HAVE A BOAT...THE CASH...AND THEY HAVE A SHORT FIELD...I BET YOU CAN GET IN. BUT IF YOU DON'T KNOW THE WATER VERY WELL, OR DID NOT PRE-FISH IT VERY WELL.....DON'T GET IN JUST TO SAY YOU DID, CAUSE YOU WILL BE HURTING THE CO-ANGLER/NON BOATER WHO IS TRYING TO WIN SOME CASH. AS A CO-ANGLER....MOST OF THE TIME...IF YOU HAVE THE CASH AND SHORT FIELD...YOU WILL GET IN. Quote
