nebass Posted September 3, 2008 Posted September 3, 2008 Hey everyone, time to pick the brains of the most inovative people! Here in Vermont it is illegal to use any lead weights of 1/2 oz or less. THis applies to just sinking weights, split shot for example, not jigs and spinnerbaits and the other sorts. So I would like to try split shotting and I want to know if anyone out there knows of a good source for tungsten wingless split shots? I know they make these for fly fisherman but I feel they are going to be too small. With that being said, what size of a weight am I looking for to apply the split shotting method? fishbear Posted September 3, 2008 Posted September 3, 2008 I use 1/32 - 1/8 oz. depending on how deep I want to fish. Not sure about the Tungsten weights, I still use lead. You could also peg a small bullet weight like on a mojo rig. Quote
