NewScreenNameAdvised Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 There are lots of ways to fish them...C-Rig, T-Rig, dropshot...or my favorite with them is on a shaky head. Quote
Super User Wayne P. Posted August 29, 2008 Super User Posted August 29, 2008 I use them this way: Quote
guitarkid Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 Weedless and weightless. Throw out, let it sink a little bit, lift drop with occasional twitch. -tumnus Quote
Super User J Francho Posted August 29, 2008 Super User Posted August 29, 2008 Same as my answer to the Finesse worm question: DS, wacky, flick-shake, skaky head, ball head jigs, c-rig, t-rig, twister rig.....Whenever the fish respond positively to smaller baits, and big baits aren't working. Quote
Bass Bro Posted August 29, 2008 Author Posted August 29, 2008 I use them this way: What kind of hook is that? Thanks Quote
fishhard Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 I fish them on shaky head(watermelon seed, or pumpkin), weightless over grass(yellow) or texas rig(junebug, or watermelon seed). Hope this helps Quote
adclem Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 What is the best shaky head jig to use. There are several different ones out there. I usually use the T-Rig weightless and weedless. But I am going to try the wacky and shaky head methods. Later, Quote
SimonSays Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 I use them this way: Heya wayne, I've tried your method of rigging but I can never seem to get the worm straight onto the hook like that, any suggestions or tips you could share for rigging like that? Quote
Super User Wayne P. Posted August 29, 2008 Super User Posted August 29, 2008 Donnie, the hook is a 3/0 Gammy Octopus hook #02413. SimonSays, put the hook eye deeper into the worm and you can rig it straight. Having it straight makes no difference though, so don't worry about it. I just makes a prettier picture if is straight. The hook in relation to the worm would be like this: edited: I forgot to mention, I don't use solid colors when rigging this way, I use colors with lots of flakes in them as they are softer. The white worm was used for photo clarity. Quote
Pigsticker Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 weightless T-rigged from 3/0-5/0 hook straight shank or EWG is a great technique for any shallow, very grassy area when it is hard to fish lure without them getting mucky Quote
Trick Worm Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 i fish em carolina or texas. as above poster mentioned when fishing in thick pads or grass they work great weedless w/o any weight. Quote
Super User iceintheveins Posted August 30, 2008 Super User Posted August 30, 2008 Weightless as a floating worm around weedbeds and cover. Quote
Super User Catt Posted August 30, 2008 Super User Posted August 30, 2008 Weightless Texas Rigged with a 1 nail in the tail Quote
