Bass Bro Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 those strike king rage toads, how to you fish these?Texas rig?Topwater, thanks ;D Quote
Bassaholic84 Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 Rig it just like a texas rig with the hook coming out the back and fish it so it stays on top of the water like a buzzbait. It will cause a lot of comotion and the bass will hit it hard. Quote
Big-O Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 Donnie, Pls use a 5/0 to 6/0 minimum EWG Superline hook as this is the exact hook that the Rage Toad was designed around. Both give best hook up percentage and provide exact keel effect necessary to give terrific action. Some folks will use smaller hooks because they are convenient, but miss the fish of a lifetime or not get as many strikes because the hook is not properly matched to the bait. The Rage toads are also extremely effective using the same size keel weighted (swimbait style) hooks and you can review hooking instructions on the Rage Tail website linked below. www.ragetail.com Good fishin and hope you whack'em Big O Quote
