Rig it just like a texas rig with the hook coming out the back and fish it so it stays on top of the water like a buzzbait.  It will cause a lot of comotion and the bass will hit it hard.

Donnie, Pls use a 5/0 to 6/0 minimum EWG Superline hook as this is the exact hook that the Rage Toad was designed around. Both give best hook up percentage and provide exact keel effect necessary to give terrific action.

Some folks will use smaller hooks because they are convenient, but miss the fish of a lifetime or not get as many strikes because the hook is not properly matched to the bait.

Topwater  and unweighted is the way to go. They should should gurgle when fished.2 sundays ago my buddy and I caught 31 combined on nothing but Ragetail Shads and Toads.
