Brian, I'm thinking he's talking about pure grain.

I was trying suppress old memories of a small town called Corbin KY from years ago.  After a few belts of the local hooch, I started to see very large bunny rabbits......at least I think they were old memories.  ;D

It's likely coincidence, but I know a gentlemen from Corbin, KY. I fish Lake Michigan with him once and a while, the shine he brings up is second to none. Absolutely the best stuff I've ever had...so sweet it hurts, lol.

Born and raised in Inez, Ky.  Weaned on that stuff.  Don't partake any more but will have to have a taste if Speed will let me twist his arm.

No arm twisting necessary Kelley.  Looking forward to seeing everyone again this year.

Against my better judgement, I'm willing to forgo the grape one evening  for a taste or ten of the real backinthebackerewoods stuff.  8-)

I'm pretty sure you can walk across the street and get beverages this year.

No more 2 hour drives... ;D

It just wouldnt be a road trip without the illegal transportation of Alcoholic beverages. All we need is Burt reynolds and Pontiac to make it spectacular.

Hardin County, TN is not a dry county,

but you can only buy liquor by the drink

at bars/ restaurants. There are no liquor

stores close. For those flying into Memphis,

you need to buy your booze there, in the

metro area. Kirby Wines & Liquor is just

off Hwy 385 on your way to Pickwick:

http://www.kirbywines.com/

Beer is sold everywhere. The Lodge might

require some subtlety, but I don't think it's

a big deal. However, the Lodge does not

serve beer or cocktails.

There is an Exxon Station just outside

the park. It's not right across the street,

but it's only a couple of minutes away.

Wow. There were people falling out of chairs drinking just wine and beer last year. This year ought to be a hoot.

Kelley-

Remember. Don't drink and drive (the boat).

It sounds like the fishing will start at the crack of noon this time around. You'd better bring a barrel of the stuff Wayne. Sounds like you've wetted a few people's appetites. Watch out for old Buford T. Justice on the way!

Thanks RW.

Speedbead don't sweat it if your not going to have enough grain for everybody. I'm also bringing my Homemade wine down. Mike and RW even might like it. It's good and before you know it you will be pretty hammered.

;)

This year I'm just going set up my video camera on a tripod in the corner to watch everybody get hammered and make an @$$ of themselves ( I'm one of them @$$es). Then I'll post it up on here so everybody can see what we do there.

In defense of the road trip attendees, it seems that most drink very little - if at all.  On my three previous road trips I have seen only one person who obviously had too much to drink.   I couldn't be everywhere, and was usually in bed by 10:00, so it's a good bet that I missed a few.  What I'm getting at is that the road trips are not a drunken brawl.  It's just a bunch of guys and gals getting together for a few days of fishing and camaraderie.

For those of you who are considering attending the trip, don't let our "booze blustering" deter you or your family from attending.  In reality, we're really a pretty mild bunch of folks.

Yeah Mike I was just kidding around. If I end up driving down by myself I'm just going to bring my family down with me so they can have a little vacation too. Since I already got my room reserved and will pay for it all myself this year I might as well.

Much as I hate to admit it, I have to agree with Mike. ;D

99.9% of what you're reading here is B.S and kidding around. As FF15 said, moderation. Besides, who wants to go fishing with a hangover. This will be my second trip and I can assure you that Mike was not the only one to hit the hay by 10:00. Most guys called it a day early and hit the water pretty early. I got to know alot of great people at the last trip and hope to meet more at this one.

I'm a teetotaler, and not deterred in the least by the talk about drinking. You guys would be hard pressed to beat the fellows I used to play golf with on an annual golf trip to Arizona. Won't put up the photo, but these are their addresses.

I too am a non drinker(for the most part).  I may have a couple drinks a year.  I love the taste of good grain.  All I want is a taste.  Thanks Wayne.

What those guys said.  There's no out-of-hand drinking, so no worries.  I like a glass of fine wine every now and then or an occasional mix drink, but nothing in excess.

I'm surprised the Franzia people aren't jumping all over the chance to sponsor this trip in some way.

You and RW could be TEAM FRANZIA with shirts, hats, a boat wrap and everything.

Guys the trip last year was worth it just for RW. One night at dinner he's falling over chairs and the next he's screaming "Don't eat the chicken". All the while Big-O downs several pieces of possibly under cooked chicken and had a look in his eye that made me think he was Rabid. Then there was Procrafter my roomate who's 2 fish always turned into 10 and a 12incher turned into a 18 incher. ;D All and all it was of the best times of my life. I look forward to this one. BTW if anybody is wanting to get a cabin and need another roomate let me know.

At least the wine box didn't break! ;D

I had 2 pieces of Wayne's fantastic steroid injected (Huge) chicken and lived to tell about it and fish the next day without any emergency trips to shore.

Now the pancakes at the marina- that's another story.

Uncle Leo can attest to that.
