Super User CWB Posted August 28, 2009 Super User Posted August 28, 2009 1. I'm bringing my boat. 2. As the Master of the vessel, I decide who rides shotgun. 3. The shirt will not be in my possession. For the duration of my trip, it will be sealed securely in a Mason jar on Funk and Wagnall's back porch. Man Mike- You're really playing hardball. On to plan B. I'm going to have to report you to ebay. I won it fair and square for $.99 Quote
Super User firefightn15 Posted August 28, 2009 Super User Posted August 28, 2009 For the record, I'll be bringing down plenty of cheese for the road trip. Anyone interested should pm me. Greg, Deb shouldn't need a gas mask if we keep the doors shut and the windows sealed. I can, however, bring her a SCBA unit w/extra bottles if that would make her feel more secure. Kelley and Ken, check your pm's Quote
Super User CWB Posted August 28, 2009 Super User Posted August 28, 2009 Got it. Just let me know. And pray for continued rain. I'd like to see the lake come up about a foot or so. Quote
Triton21 Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 I got mine also Brian. See you next week for coffee and other things. Kelley Quote

Super User cart7t Posted September 3, 2009 Super User Posted September 3, 2009 Your end location is just a little North of Pickwick by a few miles but you're right in the ball park. As for knowing people. Spend time on the forum and you'll get to know some of those coming. Sunday is check in time. Name tags are handed out with the goodie bags (provided you've registered) and folks get to put faces to screen names. Last year was my first year but I got to know quite a few folks well by the end of the week. Great bunch of people. 8-) Quote

Super User Long Mike Posted September 4, 2009 Super User Posted September 4, 2009 Ken, the park is located just to the the southeast of Pickwick Dam. Lat. - 35.0553 N Long. - 88.2387 W If you have Virtual Earth (a free download) you can see hi-res aerial images of the park. Quote

SammyLee Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 Any problem with bringing a non BassResource friend? He has a nice boat and is a pretty good fisherman (won $700 bucks last weekend in a tournament) along with being a good guy. Plus, he's fished Pickwick many times. It'd solve my "I don't have a boat" issue and room sharing. I've suggested he join BR several times but computers is just not his thing. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted September 10, 2009 Super User Posted September 10, 2009 You can sign him up. Everyone should be a member. -Kent a.k.a. roadwarrior Quote
Super User Long Mike Posted September 10, 2009 Super User Posted September 10, 2009 SammyLee, I'll ask the questions for RW. He's kinda shy. Does your friend have a sister? Does she have her own boat? If so, please PM RW with pictures of the boat. Changing the subject somewhat, if your friend is too ignorant or too "busy" to become a member of this great forum, I suggest you get him to sign up. As one of the Road Trip Coordinators, I tend to lose information provided by non-members. I guess it's because I'm getting on in years. :-/ Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted September 10, 2009 Super User Posted September 10, 2009 Shhhhhhhhh....Our cabin will rock! Blues, Smooth Jazz, C&W, Soul and maybe even a little Rap mixed in with some Rock & Roll! Do you like George Benson? How 'bout Sada? http://new.music.yahoo.com/videos/--2146801 Quote
Super User CWB Posted September 10, 2009 Super User Posted September 10, 2009 Bring a sleeping bag. We'll have Metallica. Sabbath, heavy metal and rock going all night. And pancakes for breakfast. I think Mike just gets lonely after a day or two. Make sure you sleep on your back with one eye open. When he's asleep, see if you can go through his stuff and snag my shirt for me. Quote
Uncle Leo Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 No pancakes please, add Led Zeppilin. Did I ever tell anyone about the pancake issue? Quote

steezy Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 SammyLee, if your friend cant join, can he at least bring some of that $700 he won and pay the $50 reg fee? And a big container of some of that great Tenn pulled pork wouldnt be bad either. Quote
Super User Long Mike Posted September 11, 2009 Super User Posted September 11, 2009 Uncle Leo, tell us about the pancakes. Quote
Super User burleytog Posted September 11, 2009 Super User Posted September 11, 2009 Long Mike, you scare me. You should try spending a day in the boat with the old fart. Quote
Uncle Leo Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 Uncle Leo, tell us about the pancakes. It was ghastly, an experience which should not be repeated. Quote
