Joshawa Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 I just want to see how differently everyone responds. Sorry if this has been done before but I could not find anything in search. Heres the scenario: Your away from home on a fishing trip and your tackle is all gone, well you still have all your terminal tackle so you don't need to buy that. Lucky you your poles and line, etc. are still there. You have 75 bucks to buy lures, what do you buy for fishing in any number of the different lakes you will be going to on your trip. Restrictions, just lures, no terminal tackle. Please include colors and sizes as well. ~Thanks~ Quote
scbassman28 Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 I would buy some green pumpkin worms, junebug worms, black buzzbait, spro frog, chart & white spinnerbait, ans a couple of shallow running crank baits. Quote

CRFisher Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 If your lures are at home (ie not lost) I would use this as an excuse to get some pricey swimbaits. Throw in 4 or 5 bags of plastics to top it off (Senkos, Trick Worms, Buzz frogs, Twin tailed Grubs or Craws, Flukes, in a green, red or black except for the Flukes) If you're lures are toast, I'd go with the above 4 or 5 bags of plastics, a spook, a Black Jitterbug, Chartreuse Spinnerbait, Black Spinnerbait, a silver RatLtrap, Manns minus 1 in baby bass, a Mepps Black Fury (#3 or 4), a Silver Minnow (Rapala or other), a diver like a Rapala DT 6 or 10 in natural colors, and then a frog like a Spro. After that you'd probably have enough for a Green/Brown jig and a Black/Blue jig to round it out. Quote

senko_77 Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 If all my tackle was gone and I had $75, my main thing would be to keep it simple. I would get some Trick Sticks in the 5" size from *** in any Natural color like Watermelonseed or Watermelon/Purple Swirl Then a straight tailed 7" worm like the Zoom Trick worm or the *** Finesse worm. Again, in natural colors. My favorite color is watermelon/green or watermelon/gold Then I would pick up a few walk the dog type baits like the Super Spook Jr. or the Sammy 100 A few Picasso F6 spinnerbaits would be next in line. I like Chart/White in any water clarity...for some reason, it always works for me, even in gin clear water And lastly I would get swimbaits. The Storm Kick N' Minnow is an excellent budget swimbait that is used by Bassresource's big fish maniac, Randall. If your feeling like you wanna beat up your wallet a bit more, then get one of Spro's new BBZ-1 Shad or Tru-Tungsten's new Tru-Life Shad. If there was any left over I would probably pick up a Propel in the Berry flavor, and a ton of those mini chocolate doughnuts. God I love those things ;D Thanks for starting this thread. There alot of fun. Quote
dman Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 I would buy some green pumpkin worms, junebug worms, black buzzbait, spro frog, chart & white spinnerbait, ans a couple of shallow running crank baits. X2 but: Add on some Watermellon Senkos and Black Power worms Quote
Joshawa Posted August 28, 2008 Author Posted August 28, 2008 Thanks for all the responses guys, this was exactly what I am looking for. I am planning on expanding my arsenal a little more and wanted some ideas for some new lures that I haven't tried yet and you guys have given me some ideas. Also I didn't want to break the bank so I figured that a $75 dollar limit would keep things in check. Keep 'em coming guys Quote
