CRFisher Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 I had good luck with them in the spring. I was getting more hits on them than other plastics during the spawn, including Senkos. Not a lot of luck during the summer, but the bite has been slow with everything. Quote

They work good in the spring. I had some that were that 550 color but with a Chartreuse tail that worked very nice. Quote
Super User CWB Posted August 26, 2008 Super User Posted August 26, 2008 I've used these but prefer Flukes and lately Strike King's Z-Too Quote
bmuskin Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 The panfish ones were crappie killers this spring. I was filling the freezer big time on the panfish assasins. Quote
Super User Marty Posted August 26, 2008 Super User Posted August 26, 2008 For those who don't like clicking on links, he's talking about Bass Assassin Shad Assassins, a 5" soft jerkbait similar to a Super Fluke. I've used them for 10-15 years. They're more expensive than Flukes for reasons I'm unaware of, but I've not been able to detect a difference in effectiveness between the two. The assassin weight about 15% more than a Fluke. Quote
loomis spookwalker Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 I've been using Bass Assassin flukes for years and years and wouldn't use anything else. Quote
CFFF 1.5 Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 Bass assasin flukes are the best. If you can find it get the rainbow trout color, I have caught so many bass on these, and defenitely prefer them over flukes, although I have been fishing the Berkley Reastix jerk baits, but those are even more expensive then the shad assasin. Depending on where you live you can buy the shad assasin's at wal-mart. Also in my opinion they have better action than a fluke. Quote
