Certified Public Angler Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 Costa Del Mar - I have 2 pair and they are great. Quote
bmuskin Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 Lots of good choices! I absolutely love Muai Jim sunglasses. The polarization is unreal. I have the grey and the bronze for low light had to buy a pair for my wife so she would leave mine alone. Quote
Bass_junky Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 Costa Del Mar - best for long term and they have lifetime warranty...I use the FLIR w/exchangable lenses - wouldn't even consider anything else after 5 yrs of use and one free replacement pair.... Check out the fishing flea market section threads - pair for 120.00 Costa Del Mar for sale or trade Quote

WCCT Posted August 13, 2008 Posted August 13, 2008 Solar Bats with the Mossback lenses. They come in a bunch of styles, and are awesome glasses. Quote
WIII-60 Posted August 13, 2008 Posted August 13, 2008 No offense to the guys that go the cheaper road but..... I had a cheap pair that I replaced with some oakley fives (3.0 I think). Polarized. The difference is tremendous. I'll most likely go with the better quality here on out. Oakley's all I've tried. Also, if you work for the gov. (state, local, whatever) you can get a ridiculous discount at usstandardissue.com Quote
majestikmoose27 Posted August 13, 2008 Posted August 13, 2008 I love my WileyX Blink. Great polarization, will stay on your head in a hurricane. Quote

Redsyn Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 I will be ordering a pair of oakley monster dog/polarized lens very shortly as my bday present. I recently visited an eye doctor recently and asked if the $5-20 pair of glasses are good enough to protect my eyes. She said that you need to be very lucky to get a pair of good pair that blocks out the harmful uv rays and at the same time does not have a distorted set of lenses or else it can hurt your vision. As the tint in the lense block out the light, you pupils become larger and if the lenses does not block out the uv rays, they are hurting your eyes even more. What I'm trying to say is I plan to fish for a very long time so i'm going to invest in a pair of good sunglasses. I think my eyes are a better investment then a $150-200 reel. Quote
mayassa Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 I use my Pan Optix from when I ride my roadking. They Rock I let my daughter put them on while fishing and she was amazed at the way she could see the fish chase her lure, it helped her change the presentation to catch more fish. She never gave them back that day ;D Quote
