I dont know if you guys have ever tried an alternative to the pricey culling systems out there.

A Cheaper alternative for Culling Fish:

I have not seen a culling system on the market for less than $17 dollars. You can easily make a better system for less.

So get yourself:

6 Bobbers = $1.35

6 Zip Ties = $0.65

1 Metal Stringer = $2.99

Rubberized Line = $5.00

Total = $9.99

My picture of the final product is not very clear, but as you can see there is no explanation necessary. You thread the line through the bobber and tie it. At the metal clasp end you zip tie it, and add a waterproof tape if you would like to ensure that you do not damage the fish with the zip tie. Take a permanent marker and mark them 1-6 so that you can identify the fish more easily and make culling quick and easy.

Good idea to save a few bucks. Instead of using waterproof tape to cover the ziptie, you could use some heat shrink tubing for protecting wire connections. Nice clean look, and no worries with the tape.

However, when I tried that I melted the rubberized line. If you can think your way around that obstacle I would prefer to do it that way then you wouldn't even need the zip tie.
