Super User firefightn15 Posted April 5, 2011 Super User Posted April 5, 2011 Boy, it's getting down to the wire. To all the members who are going for the first time, look out for lots of fun, laughs, and plenty of learning.....more than you could imagine! You're gonna find a wealth of information where you are going. The best part is putting names to faces and getting to actually speak to these guys one on one. The speakers and nightly "mini" forums are the best, just sit back listen and ask questions...these fishing gurus are not afraid to share their experience in helping you become better in wherever you may need help. I've only been able to make one, but wow, what a sleigh ride!! Quote

oteymc Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 I will be down the first weekend, driving down Friday night - fishing Saturday and Sunday. It looks like I'm coming by myself, I am bringing my boat - so if anyone wants to ride along either day anyone is welcome. I can't wait. Quote

Super User CWB Posted April 6, 2011 Super User Posted April 6, 2011 Kentucky Lake has huge potential for double digit bass! Just check my avatar. This monster was caught on 2009 Roadtrip there! Quote
steezy Posted April 7, 2011 Posted April 7, 2011 I just could not handle the long drive from TX this year so I am riding along with another member from TX to KY and flying home on the weekdnd after the roadtrip. Would anyone from Tennessee or Alabama be returning home to the Nashville area on the 22nd or even better if anyone is returning home to Alabama (south on I65), I have an uncle in Huntsville,AL I would like to vist before returning home to TX. PM if intertested. Quote
Siebert Outdoors Posted April 7, 2011 Posted April 7, 2011 Question for you guys familiar with Moors. Do they have a place to charge boat batteries? Quote

Super User Fishing Rhino Posted April 7, 2011 Super User Posted April 7, 2011 Question for you guys familiar with Moors. Do they have a place to charge boat batteries? Good question. They did at the Pickwick Lodge, but I'm bringing plenty of extension cords, just in case. When in doubt, go to the horse's mouth. Just called Moors. They do have posts in front with outlets, but they also have them on the outside of the building as well. I'll have a three way adapter so we can park side by each if necessary and share the source. Shouldn't be a problem according to the lady I spoke with. Quote

I asked that question among others when I made my reservation(Yeah I read the thread on the roadtrip #4). I was told that there was plenty of parking next to each cabin, and that there were either outdoor plugs on the cabins, or that others could reach their boats by going through one of the windows. I'm planning on bringing several extension cords. Quote

Siebert Outdoors Posted April 7, 2011 Posted April 7, 2011 Cool. Anyone thinking about fishing Barkley? I was looking at the map and noticed it wasnt too far. I'm taking out the gear to test everything for the big weekend ahead next weekend!!!!!!!!! Quote

Super User Lund Explorer Posted April 7, 2011 Super User Posted April 7, 2011 I'm taking out the gear to test everything for the big weekend ahead next weekend!!!!!!!!! Sore subject.... Our lakes are still iced up solid so the boat is going down south without too much prep work. But trailer bearings and lights have been gone over, so at least I can drag it down there. I hate not being fully prepared, but sometimes there's nothing else to do. Quote
Super User Long Mike Posted April 8, 2011 Super User Posted April 8, 2011 Moors caters to fishermen. The are outlets out the Wazoo. I'm renting a slip for the duration. Every slip has its own outlet. I assure you, it will not be like the fiasco we had at Kenlake Lodge. Quote

We could send the sweet ladies over to them and bribe them for information. Heeehee. Quote
