Super User CWB Posted April 27, 2011 Super User Posted April 27, 2011 Finally got my pictures off my camera which got ruined. Hooked this guy and finally thought I had my double digit largemouth. Anyway, great fight in 3 feet of water. I know Big-O wanted to catch one of these almost as much as a 6lb. Smallie. Here's some from Saturday in 30 MPH winds and rain: Next year. 1 Quote

Why do I get the feeling that this same setup is going to be used on Hamlin Lake's North Bayou sometime this spring? That is if you can ever get Kelley moved in! Quote

Keep safe Deb, I live where the Green River meets the Ohio river. The Ohio is about 3 miles wide now and barges can not go under bridges. For those that went to the roadtrip here is a link the "the Moor's" cam of the boat ramp. Check it over the next few days and watch the lake rise. http://moorsresort.com/lakecam2.htm Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted April 28, 2011 Author BassResource.com Administrator Posted April 28, 2011 Just a reminder to send me pictures for the video, folks. Thanks!! Quote
Super User Lund Explorer Posted April 28, 2011 Super User Posted April 28, 2011 I hope all you folks down in that part of the country stay safe and as dry as possible. TVA website says they are going to restrict outflow the next couple of days? If that isn't a typo, the people in the cabin we stayed in are going to be fishing from the porch! Quote

Man, I was saying the whole trip if only there was another foot or two of water, there would be a ton of good stuff in good water, not 6 inches. Guess I got my wish in spades. When it starts to drop back down I bet the lake will be on fire. Big-O will probably make a trip to do some flippin. Be safe all. 1 Quote

Super User Fishing Rhino Posted April 28, 2011 Super User Posted April 28, 2011 I called Birdman78, Simp's dad, to check up on him. He is currently living in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Fortunately, after leaving Ky Lake, he went to Simp's home in Illinois for a few days. He will be calling the 'bama State Police to see if it will be possible for him to return to where he had been living. He has a video with his running commentary of me catching the four and a quarter pound smallmouth. He's supposed to send it to me. Hard for me to see it on his cell phone display. It includes me getting in my "landing chair" to lip the fish. The landing chair being the passenger seat on the port side of the boat. Sit down, bring the fish to the boat, reach over the side and lip the fish, all while seated. Just like I do it in my canoe. Quote
