BUCKEYEone Posted August 7, 2008 Posted August 7, 2008 Just wondering what kind of quick snaps you all prefer when fishing cranks. Any certain brand? size? I typically dont fish any bigger cranks, no DD22s or anything quite that big Quote
S I G M A Posted August 7, 2008 Posted August 7, 2008 I get these no name ones at a local bait store. I usually get the x-large ones, even though they are still pretty small Quote
Super User MALTESE FALCON Posted August 7, 2008 Super User Posted August 7, 2008 I've been using #2 Duo Lock snaps with no problems. Falcon Quote
Super User Marty Posted August 7, 2008 Super User Posted August 7, 2008 I've used duolock snaps size #1 for years. They aren't always easy to find here, so I've bought whatever brand has been available. In recent years I've used Arkie and Gander brands. Quote
Vyron Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 i use owner's crosslock size 1 no issues with them so far Quote
avid Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 Berkley #3 crosslock. Using them for several years. No failures so far. Quote
Super User .dsaavedra. Posted August 8, 2008 Super User Posted August 8, 2008 Bass Pro brand duolock snap. never had one open up! Quote
BUCKEYEone Posted August 8, 2008 Author Posted August 8, 2008 I'll give the BPS snaps a shot. I dont like the interlock snaps from Wally World...too much bending just changing lures, no faith in those things to haul in a decent sized bass! Quote
Stringjam Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 I'll give the BPS snaps a shot. I dont like the interlock snaps from Wally World...too much bending just changing lures, no faith in those things to haul in a decent sized bass! IMO--- stay away from the BPS Duolocks! They are WAY weak......I can pull them apart just tying a knot. My advice - - pick up some Berkley Cross-Loks. It's impossible to pull them apart - even the small ones. I use the #1......it's very light and small - something I prefer with as many small balsa cranks as I fish. Quote
