Super User tomustang Posted March 30, 2011 Super User Posted March 30, 2011 I've been waiting for the lake to warm up to catch some bass, so I've been playing in the Lehigh River (just started fishing here) close to the house, using the simple senkos. So far I caught my first fish of the year, a pickerel and a musky (first musky ever), nothing else in sight, at least from the shore. This is fun though since I don't have a preference, willing to catch anything and try out different gear as I go along. Today I landed my first crappie on the river. I'm starting to like to like river fishing, just need some waders 8-) I haven't seen any bass yet! Quote
bass or bass ? Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 Nice fish. Thanks for the photos. How swift is the current? I'm thinking perhaps a float tube outfit or a single seat pontoon. Quote
fishingkidPA Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 i caught a nice crappie to on a black/purple fleck senko too. probably my biggest ever. Quote

Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted April 3, 2011 Global Moderator Posted April 3, 2011 That's a nice little muskie! The first one is always memorable! Quote

Super User tomustang Posted April 5, 2011 Author Super User Posted April 5, 2011 That's a nice little muskie! The first one is always memorable! That it is! Also memorable was the first musky I saw while fishing, had a 50"+ tiger follow my bait How about a fishing kayak? I though about that, I'd rather save up and get a jon boat so I can enjoy boating with my family Quote
bass or bass ? Posted April 7, 2011 Posted April 7, 2011 I see plenty of 12' to 16' aluminum boats with trolling motors and trailers on Craig's list for $500 or less. Look there for a small metal boat. Quote
Super User Jigfishn10 Posted April 10, 2011 Super User Posted April 10, 2011 I've never caught a musky b4 and want to catch one in the worst way. Congrats on your 1st musky, I'm jealous...LOL...I hope the next one you post, you'll need both hands to hold it up! WTG! Quote
