fishingkidPA Posted April 5, 2011 Author Posted April 5, 2011 I ordered a bunch of the joes flies spinners. I got some 1/8oz for trout and some 1/4oz. for smallies. They just came in yesterday and man do they look good. They look even better in person than they do online. I will be surprised if these don't work good. i love there lures, i usually use 1/8 for trout and smallies cause they dont get big on the streams i fish but i tied on a 1/4 oz. and hooked into a 3lber on UL gear, he later broke my line on a rock im sure you will love them Quote
boystcroix Posted April 9, 2011 Posted April 9, 2011 Try using large size rapalas (11 or 13), you'll may not catch the numbers you will with smaller baits but they're the ticket for the brutes Quote
Michael Hebert Posted December 22, 2021 Posted December 22, 2021 I used a spinner once but it was the end of the season so no luck.(first time) . Anyway , through out the month I got alot of soft plastic awimbaits. Mules donkey tail jr 1' swimbait , Eurotackle epf 1' swimbait , mice tails , berkley powerbait worms, berkley atomic teaser lures , berkley powerbait 1' Nymphs ( tiger strike Nymph from Australia coming soon with there new Mudeye bug lure) , Nrv baits creek bugs & minnie minners (family product) and Troutmagnet 152 kit & troutslayer pack crawdad., berkley gulp minnows 1' inch. Mainly tired of hook & worm & sinker, also a few rapala countdown and floating lures . This is mostly for an ultralight rod reel setup since I am mainly after Brown&brook trout. So any advice would help or am I now the right path for success in 2022 ? 1 Quote
Super User bulldog1935 Posted December 23, 2021 Super User Posted December 23, 2021 that was random Here's my tailwater loaner box for spin fishermen The home-made spinners are single-hook-barbless. I've been having so much fun with these Japanese trout plugs for imitating imitating winter glass minnows inshore (tiny trebles swapped for plug singles), using shore light game BFS... ...I would love to get them into the tailwater to try for some of our bruiser rainbows on stream trout BFS oh yeah, tailwater bruisers... 3 Quote

Marco VS Posted January 18, 2022 Posted January 18, 2022 Here is Australia we have a brand/style called the Tassie Devil. Not sure if they have anything similar states-side but if they do pick yourself up a few for the tackle box. In my experience they work VERY well Quote
