Looks like @ 2 pounder. Great eating size. I do my summer fishing here at night because it's just too freakin hot during the day for me. I always put out a medium action rod baited for channels while I'm casting for bass. Gotta have something to eat for breakfast ya know!

Did you get him on an artificial bait ? I've caught them on rattletraps and inline spinners.

Ah very good guess :). I did weight it and 2lb 3oz on berkley digi scale.

I fish for catfish as much as I do for bass and I have a pretty good eye for channels weight when they're smaller .I need a few pounds either way on larger ones.

I'll say 8 for skunked again's fish.

Is that Killcreek? I didn't know they had any channels that big in there if it is. Maybe that's what broke me off in the deep timber out there!

Here's a blue cat I caught on a deep diving Rapala a few weeks ago...

This BLUE hit my slab when I was casting for strippers a couple weeks ago. I guessed it at 50 lb. It's laying on 2x6's.

After some careful cleaning, I got 8 quart bags of nice white meat.

I have caught more catfish on crank bait than bass. Haha!
