Well, I may be headed to the west coast for the first time. My cousin lives across the bay from Seattle and was recently in town. He said that the salmon run is coming up soon, but the only time I'll be able to go up there is Dec. 3rd. Will that be too late to fish up there? If not, what do you guys reccomend when it comes fishinng for salmon? Thanks guys

Well we talked about it. He knows the basics, but has never actually fished in the bay...just wanted to see if anyone else had.

We just went to Kenosha Wi and were catching them on play dough (pink and green) with no weights at all, just let it bounce on the bottom, and salmon/trout egg sacks about 4-6ft deep on a bobber.

With the play dough make it a nice size ball, about the size of a small plum with a small trouble hook.

The eggs you want to use about a size 6 hook so when you hook the sack you cant see the hook.  If they see the hook they wont bite.

Also people were catching them on turquoise orange and green inlines, jerkbaits, rattletraps, and spoons.

Hope this helps.
