Anyone have any favorite lures or tips to pass on? My friends and I are taking a trip in the near future and are planning to do more casting than trolling. Thanks.

Dare Devils, big ones. Buy a few different colors, I dont fish for them but my step dad does. Usually he throws Dare Devils, big inline spinners, or some kind of big swimbait. Although people usually throw big lures, my step dad caught a 39in muskie on a 1/2oz lipless crank with a medium action spinning rod.

I definitely have my best luck with casting with bucktails.  Trolling, big plugs like Jakes and Grandmas

Swimbaits, oversized bass jigs with hollow body swimbaits rigged perpendicular to how you would think.  Honestly, I own $1000's of dollars of big musky baits, and never use them due to lack of success.  My biggest to date came off a husky jerk.  Pulled in a 47"

Also, the most fun I have ever had was throwing the 10" sluggo on top water over weeds and crushing them.  Most were in the 35- 40" range, but the hits were HUGE!!
