They're all right. Except for the bow target, there's enough common carp for that.

Yup, alot of smaller bodies of water where triploids (sterile) grass carp are stocked, you must return them to the water

That's really not evn that big.  I've seen some of tehm in golf course ponds that had to be pushing 90 lbs.  Huge fish, just huge.  You sure you're not talking about common or asian carp?  Just asking,in no way confrontational.

I dont view it as confrontational at all.  I looked up the record by the fish name "white amur".  I would post the link, but I found it on a commercial site and did not want to violate the rules.  I know they get up to 100 lbs, but everything is smaller here in Illinois.LOL!

it is common to see a 50+ lb carp pulled out of 20-65 acre lakes here

heck, the mudhole lake i used to fish everyother day has carp in the 30-40 pound range in it. its only 80-90 acres.

I happene to know the gentleman who broke the Ohio State Record Channel Cat........ pulled it out of Sippo Lake, Perry, Ohio (what i affectionatly call my mudhole)      39.50lbs.    But hes a moron and didnt report it. He weighed it, snapped a poloroid that he keeps in his tackle box, and then let it go!

His name is Don, and he is the kindest man ive ever met. Until you tell him that Bass is the fish to catch...... to him, if u rnt catching cats or carp, you might as well go home!

But those carp get huge! I literally ran into one cruising in the canoe one time in the shallows, i still have a mental snapshot of me hitting what looked like a freaking LOG! but then the log took off thrashing throwing water in my face, and nearly tipping the canoe.         All that translates out into me not screwing around with carp!     If theyre up on the shallows where i fish for bass, i just throw a heavy jig at their heads to scare them off! ;)

I've hooked one of those bass fishing in some heavy weeds. Herd the drag screaming and new i was in for it. Never saw a fish that big break water that many times in my life.

The white amur is actually a minnow and in their native China can reach 100#, but smaller here in the states.  They are vegetarians and I have caught only 2 on artificial lure after thousands of casts.

Down here people catch them on bread, berries from trees or using a roe bag.
