IDbasser Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 went again today, from 0800 till 1800. 10 hours on the ice and only caught 1 about a pound. Missed 3 and had one other hit. I was first on and last off the ice today. Sunrise til dark. Quote
TommyBass Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 4-5 inches of ice and growing here in south central Indiana. Not been doing too bad lately, several gills and catfish on beemoths and jigs. Most were caught just off the bottom near the deepest sections of the ponds. Good luck and be safe! What bait do yall use for the trout? Quote
RobbyZ5001 Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 Went out last night and hammered the crappie in 5-8 depths in 16 feet of water. It was fun until I ran out of propane then it was time to go. All together I caught about 40 fish and 13 nice crappie. Here is the ice equivalent of an arm out cell phone pic. Were you night fishing? If so do you usually catch them? I went the last two nights fishing and have caught very little. Quote
swilly78 Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 Here is some fish I caught today at Bass Lake in Bartlett, il. The big guy was on a tip up with a med shiner, and the rest were on a tiny ice jig with a waxy. Incidentally, the bluegill is the most representative of the day. lol Quote
