Super User SirSnookalot Posted August 22, 2009 Super User Posted August 22, 2009 I used a new bait this past week, well new to me as I've never used them before but have seen them. Storm wild eye swim shad 6" 7/8 oz., they worked exceptionally well in the places I fish, with 1 problem. The fish I've been hooking a 25lb class rod with 20# braid and 40# leader isn't strong enough, not really a bad problem , think a rod with a stronger backbone may do the trick. This morning I'm going out with the 5" 5/8 oz model and see how that one works. Quote
mrlitetackle Posted August 22, 2009 Posted August 22, 2009 ive eyed those baits myself, but yet to try them.... good to hear about the so called misfortune though!!!!! ;D Quote
Super User SirSnookalot Posted August 22, 2009 Author Super User Posted August 22, 2009 Only a stick of dynamite would have worked this morning Quote
mrlitetackle Posted August 22, 2009 Posted August 22, 2009 yup, those days suck...... but they're inevitable from time to time as well. Quote
bass or bass ? Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 I've been using these baits for a couple years now . Love 'em. Quote
Super User Crestliner2008 Posted August 31, 2009 Super User Posted August 31, 2009 What are you fishing for? BTW, the 6" Wildeye works wonders on walleye! Quote
Super User SirSnookalot Posted September 1, 2009 Author Super User Posted September 1, 2009 Tarpon and snook. Anything will hit them but I don't like them for a toothy critter, 1 bite and they're toast. Both tarpon and snook are " inhalers ", no teeth. Snook season opened at 12:01 this morning so I'll be looking for quiet spot, give it 3-4 days or the furor quiets down. Quote
Kingbass43 Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 These things look amazing when they swim http://www.bassresource.com/fishing-forum/Templates/Forum/default/grin.gif Quote
