Big Matty L Posted August 3, 2008 Posted August 3, 2008 hey guys, i just bought some gammy spinnerbait trailer hooks and it came with 6 hooks, 1 plastic tube and NO instructions... could anyone enlighten me on how to properly rig the trailer hooks? Thanks Quote
Super User Gatorbassman Posted August 3, 2008 Super User Posted August 3, 2008 Fist of all take that tube and sove it up................. OOPS. Wrong tube. lol Cut the tube into 1/8th inch peices. You use the peices to help keep the hook on the spinnerbait. There are two ways to put it on. 1. Put a peice of the tube over the eye of the trailer hook and then stick it on the spinnerbait. 2. Put the trailer hook on the spinnerbait and then put the peice of tube on the spinnerbait hook. Quote
Super User Marty Posted August 3, 2008 Super User Posted August 3, 2008 For what it's worth, I use method #2 because I have more confidence when the trailer hook swings freely. Quote

The #1 option can impede the action of the spinnerbait if the trailer hook is off center and the tubing holds it in place (acting like a rudder) Quote
