wisturkeyhunter Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 Any company (besides storm) make a real nice realistic bluegill swimbait that weighs under an ounce or maybe slightly more. Its about as heavy as my current setup can handle. Soft or hard don't matter just as long as it looks good in the water and is light enough for me to throw. Quote

wisturkeyhunter Posted July 29, 2008 Author Posted July 29, 2008 http://www.mattlures.com/ His bluegill baits are slightly heavier than I'm looking for. I have 2 of his baby bass and they are about my limit with my heaviest rod. Quote
Super User grimlin Posted July 29, 2008 Super User Posted July 29, 2008 You are right...my apologies...they are hitting close to 2 oz. Well the jackall giron i believe weights just under 1 oz. it's a hardbait though if that matters any.I have one of those and i can throw it on my heavy rod. Quote
bkoguy07 Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 The Storm swimmin minnows or w/e they look good in bluegil Quote
Super User .dsaavedra. Posted July 29, 2008 Super User Posted July 29, 2008 storms are terrible. stay away from them. the wild eye live series swims like crap, smells bad, and doesnt even look that realistic (i bought a pack) the kickin slab series barely swims at all, looks pretty nice though, but the plastic is way too stiff. (i also bought one) your best bet would be the 4 in jackall giron that weighs in a 3/4oz. good luck in your quest for a swimbait! 8-) Quote
Super User T-rig Posted July 29, 2008 Super User Posted July 29, 2008 How about the K's Labo Kiwami Gill (made by Lucky Craft). It weighs 1.5oz. You find this bait on ebay. Quote

You don't always have to have a $30 lure to catch fish. Right now in my area bass are gorging on sunfish/bluegill and the storm sunfish works great! Quote

-ebby- Posted August 3, 2008 Posted August 3, 2008 you will be able to throw the jackall if you can throw the baby bass (i have both) the jackall has great action, but i might have to try this one t-rig suggested. Quote
