Super User Dwight Hottle Posted May 11, 2009 Super User Posted May 11, 2009 Caught this baby fishing for smallies. My buddy caught a 12 lb channel cat shortly after this one. Mixed in with the smallies. Quote
Don B Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 Good Lord Dwight! After lookin' at all your smallie hawgs, I was thinkin' of asking you if you do any trolling in August for the 'eyes like I do. I see now that you don't wait for August to come! My best one up there yet was a 30", 9 lber. The one your holding looks like an easy 32-34", 12-13 lber! Is that your PB walleye so far? I didn't think the holdover walleyes in Erie were many fish over 20". Way to go! Quote
Super User Dwight Hottle Posted May 11, 2009 Author Super User Posted May 11, 2009 Don, Erie PA holds a lot of resident fish of good size. We get the western basin migration in late july & august which are mostly smaller in size like your thinking at 20" The fish in the pic was long but we didn't measure it. It weighed just over 9lbs on my boga scale. Usually we catch bonus walleye in april but this year my first came in may probably because of the colder water temps. My pb walleye weighed just over 12lbs. Quote
Daniel My Brother Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 Great fish and picture. I like how the water just blends into the sky behind you. Quote
Super User firefightn15 Posted May 12, 2009 Super User Posted May 12, 2009 Nice walleye you got there Dwight! Quote
