slab seeker Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 What type of reel do you have automatic or manual wind,if automatic you just press the lever located at the top of the reel,if manual just use the reel handle.I personally don't reel my line in especially when fighting a big fish I just pull the line with my hands and let it fallaround my feet but that is the way I was taught. Super User flechero Posted April 17, 2009 Super User Posted April 17, 2009 on most fish you can just strip in line by hand... only when a fish really runs, and takes all the casting line out from around my feet, do I end up using the reel to "reel" them in. Quote
Super User fourbizz Posted April 17, 2009 Super User Posted April 17, 2009 I dont put fish on the reel. Now if they put themselves there that is what I use. Quote
