flippin4it. Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 Now that is the bait needed to break Perry's record. But where do you find a bobber for that thing?????? Quote
Jason Schwartz Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 Looks Like A lot of catfish bait lol 8-) ;D Quote
Super User 5bass Posted May 12, 2008 Super User Posted May 12, 2008 Now that is the bait needed to break Perry's record. But where do you find a bobber for that thing?????? A high quality beach ball would probably do the trick. And just think how many times that shad had to escape the jaws of death over the years to get that big. Quote
Crabcakes Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 Hm, would they count that as a game fish? IGFA keeps record for American Shad but not other shad species I believe. Guys fish for American Shad when they run in the Chesapeake Bay tributaries. I guess in that regard it could be a "gamefish", but I don't know if there is any universally accepted definition for the word. Quote
Super User senile1 Posted May 13, 2008 Super User Posted May 13, 2008 These are the world records for shad: American Shad 11lbs 4oz Bob Thibodo Conn. River, S. Hadley, MA May 19, 1986 Gizzard Shad 4lbs 6oz Mike Berg Lake Michigan, IN March 2, 1996 Quote
