SenkoBasser Posted February 21, 2008 Posted February 21, 2008 Nice catches! Did you atleast put the hammerhead back in? Quote
bassdocktor Posted February 21, 2008 Posted February 21, 2008 Awesome catches. Kinda makes me wish I had thought harder about going there. That's pretty cool that you can fish right off the school's dock. Quote
Super User Sam Posted February 21, 2008 Super User Posted February 21, 2008 Wow! Great pics and even better catches. And can you walk to the dock to fish? If so, that is an added value to your education. One day you will return for an alumni reunion and show the dock to your wife and kids and tell them some stories about fishing in college. And by the way, any local freshwater ponds on campus that hold a bass population? Quote
cpvenom Posted February 22, 2008 Author Posted February 22, 2008 Yep, all of the fish were caught about 200 yards from my dorm off a dock. I have also hooked up with a few tarpon, none of which were landed (yet). All sharks have been released unharmed. As for bass, there is a small pond with some bass up to 1 or 2 pounds. I have a few more pics that I will put up in the next couple of days Quote
ba7ss3in Posted February 22, 2008 Posted February 22, 2008 That's pretty cool, fishing on campus and some big fish. Quote
Super User Bassn Blvd Posted February 23, 2008 Super User Posted February 23, 2008 Nice grouper. Is that Cobia legal size though? Quote
cpvenom Posted February 23, 2008 Author Posted February 23, 2008 yep, the cobia was 34 inches at the fork. The minimum is 33 inches. Sufficed to say, I was happy about that 1 inch.
