Hey guys, I just got these pictures off of my work computer...I hope I haven't posted them before.  They're from last June/July during my trip to Miami...

A nice snook caught on a bucktail jig - the thing took the jig then swam right at the boat.  I didn't feel anything so I reeled really fast unti I felt it, then the fight was on.  This fish immediately raced away from the beach, and I still have the image in my head - the line ripping sideways through the water  ;D  How much you think it weighed?  7 or 8?

A baby tarpon my brother caught on a super spook.  It was right on the incoming tide at a creek mouth where we anchored.  The tarpon were schooled up and just nailing the mullet.  AWESOME

This was the beach where we caught most of our snook.  The fish were so far up on shore you wouldn't believe it.  They were swimming in the breaking waves and you could see their shadows.  Pretty cool sightfishing for snook  :)

I know I've posted this before, but once again for good measure...

nice pics. the snook weighed 5 pounds maybe. the peacock looks like a healthy 2 pounder. i love catching tarpon that size, they jump like mad and can be had on artificial.

You really think it was only 5?  I remember it felt significantly heavier than the few 5 pound bass I've caught...keep in mind I have a large head...I'd rather be called bighead than have my snook called smaller than it was  ;D
