Super User T-rig Posted September 19, 2007 Super User Posted September 19, 2007 ......a big pike! I caught this fish today on a Megabass Vision 110 and 10lb. line (sufix siege). It weighed 17.6lbs. What a fight! Quote
FivePoundBluegill Posted September 19, 2007 Posted September 19, 2007 That thing is a BEAST. I want to go visit your country you seem to get so many large interesting fish. So far from you I have seen this pike, huge river cub, huge perch, huge carp, and some very nice bass. Its either the fishing is amazing where you live or your gods gift to fishing...most likely both Quote
Super User T-rig Posted September 19, 2007 Author Super User Posted September 19, 2007 Here's a pretty cool pic of the pike jumping. Quote
Super User MALTESE FALCON Posted September 19, 2007 Super User Posted September 19, 2007 Now that's a nice pike!!! My biggest is 37", a far cry from yours. Must have been alot of fun fighting that beast. Falcon Quote

Super User T-rig Posted September 22, 2007 Author Super User Posted September 22, 2007 Great picture and a beautiful fish. I'll bet the drag on that reel was a little warm after that. I was actually fishing for bass with my Daiwa Fuego (spinning) with no leader and 10lb. test mono. Yeah, the reel got a good workout! Quote
Super User ww2farmer Posted September 23, 2007 Super User Posted September 23, 2007 Great pike, I catch many of them fishing for bass as well, got a new pb myself last week of 39". IMHO they fight WAY better than bass. Some days when your catching hammerhandles all day long they get annoying, but latch into a decent one and you know you got some thing. Quote
Del from philly Posted September 23, 2007 Posted September 23, 2007 beautiful, i cant even amagine catching a fish that big in fresh water....... congratulations... Quote
