Huge fish!  What did you get them all on?  Large cranks, softbaits, etc.  It looks like one was caught on a spoon in the first pic.

Awesome. I have a buddy that goes to Croatia every summer for a month. He says it's beautiful. I gotta tell him about the pike. He'll probably bring his gear next year.

When your buddy comes to Croatia tell him to contact me on e-mail and I shall send him my phone number

My e-mail is basonja@ribolov-koprivnica.com and hrvoje.kuzmic@kc.t-com.hr

That is incredibly generous and I will definetly forward him your contact info.  He's usually there for the month of July.  He speaks a little Croation.  The only Croation I know is Pivo!  :D

What really surprised me was how light the tackle looked.  I have never been pike fishing but I am under the impression that you have to use heavy rods with heavy line.  The rods and line looked like my bass gear.

I'm curious to what the rod power is and what lb. test is being used.

Maybe some of you pike fishers can clarify.

Thanks.

Europeans fish alot lighter then americans! probaly 20lb. max for pike plus a heavier fluorocarbon leader. The waters in Europe are usually very clear. MH to H rods.

Very nice Pike. You grow them BIG over there.

Does IDRA have a web site?

I fished for Pike with some English friends, and they convinced me to lighten up on my tackle. What fun it is to catch a ten pound Pike on 7' med. light spinning tackle.
