They look wonderful, but am I seeing the price right? $80.00

There is just no way on God's little green earth I could afford that.

I'd have a heart attack if I ever lost it.  Probably would never get that far though.  Wife would kill me first.

LOL, I thought the same thing....

Nice thing about those though, they float   ;)

Man, 3:16 baits look awesome! I just couldn't toss one into the drink though; it's basically me tossing $80.00 into a Musky's mouth. ;)

wouldn't wanna throw that in the water, closest it would get to fishing would be casting in the back pool, where i couldn't lose it.  haha but those look amazing

Who in the world is actually going to buy one of these?  Man talk about limiting your target market....  Too bad, they look nice but doubt it'll be a hot seller.  Just think 4 of them and you have a new G Loomis GLX rod... Wonder which one will last you longer? :;)

hmmmmm.....  I think alot of anglers disagree with you 3:16 has been catching big bass for a number of years and is not in the poor house

Don't doubt it'll work.  Doubt they'll sell many of them however.  $80 limits who will seriously look at these I'd think.

I hope if people invest in them that they pay dividends.  That's a lot of money to commit to one bait.  Like the man said earlier in this thread, it don't float so good when it's stuck in a stump.

Good luck with them if you try them out fellas.

3:16 is one of the older modern swimbait companies still standing. You'd be amazed at the number of baits they sell.

I just got the Jr bass delivered to me a couple days ago.  If it catches the fish that I think it will, then I'll be ordering more.

Best hard swimbaits on the planet. BAR NONE! I've got a bunch of his hardbaits. Worth every last penny!

Thinking about getting a perch just to have. Very sweet pattern.

Ahhhh. grasshoppa!

Sure looks like a tasty, early season kokanee salmon to me.... the fish tend to agree, lol!

Plus I think you would have to fight my girlfriend for it, its one of her favorite swimbaits to throw, haha.

3:16 sells a lot of those baits. Why because they work. Guys that are serious about their swimbaits know its 100x beter to have 10 great baits that cost you $500 then 50 pieces of junk that cost the same. Think about it. If you could trade in all your old and no longer used tackle and get full value in exchange for a few high end things, wouldnt you? I would. There is also an advantage to the fisherman who buys ultra expencive baits. He is not only buying the bait but he is also buying the oportunity to fish baits that most would not even consider because of the cost. In other words he bought an advantage. In most places the fish have rarley or never seen one of those baits.

That in itself is worth something.

Just so know, I havent bought any baits over $50 But if I couldnt make them I would buy them.

You can doubt all you want.  Glad the people around here dont fish them... ;)

I have no doubt they'll work.  You certainly couldn't continue selling baits at that price if they weren't good and didn't produce.  I'm sure the price is justified.  And I know all about 20 $4.00 baits versus 1 $80.00 bait.  But I can't spend that kind of money at one pop on one bait, no matter how much I'd like to. If I lose one of my $4 baits, I still have 19 left.  I'd love to have nothing in my box except high quality baits, everyone a proven producer, but for me, it just doesn't work that way.

$80 is actually a reasonable price for some of those ultra detailed large hard baits.  To answer you question though, a rod won't ever catch you a single fish if you don't have a lure tied onto it.  I'd rather fish with mediocre rods/reels than cheap lures.  The rod and reel will have little impact on my ability to catch fish.  If I had my choice I'd go for the 4 3:16 baits than the loomis.  The 3:16 baits will drastically increase my odds of catching bigger fish.  The rod won't.

And if you want to see how the above works, check out LBH's Ghetto Bassin' video where he fishes a slammer on a rod with the top sawed off and catches some BIG RI bass.
