Brown/Rainbow clear water spinning

What trout spinners/spoons will you reccomend for spinning in a reservoir with clear water?

I know it wasn't your question, but just another suggestion if you're targeting trout, and I've praised this bait for trout in many other threads, but give the 3" Berkley Powerminnow a shot on a 1/8 oz jighead.  You can really work it effectively at any depth, and I've been slammin' them lately on that bait.

For spinners my fav's are Blue Fox, silver or gold with white bucktail and a dash of red.

Gibbs croc by far, spinners i have to say bluefox. I'm from BC Canada i know this stuff better than most.

For spoons, gold Kastmaster spoons.  I fish the 1/16 and 1/12 oz for creeks.  Maybe you might want to up-size depending on water depth and fish size.

Acme little cleos, you wont be disappointed with these . This is the main spoon I use when fishing for browns and bows. Ive had alot of luck with the green/chart, silver/blue, silver/green colours.

I think your best bet will be with Rapala Floating Minnows, Husky Jerks, and spoons. This is what I have caught most of my trout on. I am not a big fan of inline spinners, mainly because on too many casts I have got the lure back to me and the blade will have stopped spinning.

I highly suggest you buy a spoon with a feathered dressed tail because it looks so much better when the tail treble actually moves and looks like a minnows tail. ACME Kastmasters come with a glod spoon and yellow dressed hook which looks great.

If you can't find any though, just take the hook of a dressed inline spinner and put it on the spoon.

I'm not sure of the size of the fish youa re targeting, but I fish for stockie trout around 1lb. 14-16" and I use mainly 1/8oz. stuff

Just remember that rout have soft mouths, and when they come up and dance on the durface and shake their heads, a heavy lure will provide momentum to pull the hooks out of their mouth. This happened to me when I hooked a nice rainbow on an X-Rap.

Remember, trout aren't bass, they are used to eating bugs, so you don;t have to offer them a huge lure.
