This is a good fishing / photography buddy of mine, with his PB Striper, caught from the same waters I've been fishing, about 12 years ago.

45.5 lbs, and 47" long ! And he caught it on a 1/4 oz jig with a little 3" soft plastic fluke, and 8 lb test line ! I've seen a few bigger Stripers (only a very few, and only a little bigger) from my waters, but I don't think I have ever seen a prettier giant Striper. This is the kind I dream of.....

My dad has a friend has caught a hybrid about that length.  I'm hoping to catch one some day like that.

Fish Chris,

Maybe you and your buddy should come to my water for stripers, go to somewhere on Cape Cod Massachusetts, they have huge saltwater stripers, 20-70lbs!!!! :D

If you didn't know this: new england is where stripers came from, and they came from the ocean

Anyway, nice fish!!!!

Our stripers in R.I. come from the Chesapeake....

nicely said champ, the only reason i like doug hannons snake lures is

1. doug devoted his life to bass fishing,

2. My Grandfather used the same lures back in his day.

i also wish i could catch stripers like that someday :)
