pacu?

I was  thinking the exact same thing.  Someone must of let it go out of there fish tank.

I'll say pacu also.  That's defiantly a weird catch.

Definately a pacu. What did you catch it on ?

Very healthy looking fish! They are part of the Pirania family and must have been releasd by some irresponsible person.

At first glance, it looks almost identical to a piranha. But that is definatly a pacu.

There was just an article in the Fort Worth Star telegram this week about someone who had caught a red bellied pacu out of a pond or stream that goes into one of our big area lakes during flooding.  If you live any where in North Texas I would strongly suggest reporting your catch to the fish and game dept.

It almost looks like a piranha considering tha fact that I ain't never seen a pacu so I dont know wha they look like. If it aiin't weal long it could be a piranha but if it is down south it is probably a pacu.
