Super User Hookemdown. Posted August 7, 2007 Super User Posted August 7, 2007 pacu? I was thinking the exact same thing. Someone must of let it go out of there fish tank. I'll say pacu also. That's defiantly a weird catch. Quote
Super User T-rig Posted August 8, 2007 Super User Posted August 8, 2007 Definately a pacu. What did you catch it on ? Very healthy looking fish! They are part of the Pirania family and must have been releasd by some irresponsible person. Quote
Guest ncbass24 Posted August 11, 2007 Posted August 11, 2007 At first glance, it looks almost identical to a piranha. But that is definatly a pacu. Quote
BaitMS Posted August 11, 2007 Posted August 11, 2007 It IS definitely a Pacu. What did you do with it? I hope you didnt release it. Quote
mattm Posted August 11, 2007 Posted August 11, 2007 There was just an article in the Fort Worth Star telegram this week about someone who had caught a red bellied pacu out of a pond or stream that goes into one of our big area lakes during flooding. If you live any where in North Texas I would strongly suggest reporting your catch to the fish and game dept. Quote
the captain Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 It almost looks like a piranha considering tha fact that I ain't never seen a pacu so I dont know wha they look like. If it aiin't weal long it could be a piranha but if it is down south it is probably a pacu. Quote
Super User Redlinerobert Posted August 13, 2007 Super User Posted August 13, 2007 So did it put up a good fight? Quote
