Cigarlover 1 Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 Any New Englanders out there ever do any fishing for Walleye on the Quabbin? Or any other lakes in Central/Western MA for that matter. Quote
bass109 Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 sorry dont know of any, never caught a walleye before. Quote
big c is very cool Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 I live in South Eastern Mass and I have gotten one small walleye out of theis place called between the lakes in Lakeville. Caught it this summer at around 2 in the mornin. I was also wonderin about the quabbin though because didn't the state record come out of there? Quote
Cigarlover 1 Posted November 12, 2006 Author Posted November 12, 2006 From what I"ve read it did. 11lb. 0oz. That was in 1975. I know there are Lake Trout and Salmon so I would think there's still some Walleye in there. That's a huge body of water to cover though. Quote
big c is very cool Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 I might try calling the massachusetts wildlife division thing. they probably would have some asnwers. I really want to get out to the quabbin next summer. I heard you can rent a boat for like 40 dollars for the day. If you decide to contact them keep me posted. Quote
massdevldawg Posted May 20, 2007 Posted May 20, 2007 To rent a boat on the Quabbin is only $25 for the day. Also I hear of ppl catching Wall-eyes out there but have never myself seen one. I usually do some great Bass fishing out of there though. I'm goin next week as a matter of fact, maybe I'll see you guys out there. Quote
