tallydude Posted April 27, 2007 Posted April 27, 2007 Dude, if you're covering east coast fish, you can't forget about dolphin. :-/ Quote
Cigarlover 1 Posted April 27, 2007 Posted April 27, 2007 I love saltwater but for some reason I probably prefer freshwater. Probably because I'm from KY and that's what I was raised on. My favorite is Walleye. I've heard yellow perch is just as good but haven't cooked any yet. I'd say my second favorite is Crappie. Both fried of course! Quote
Crabcakes Posted April 29, 2007 Posted April 29, 2007 Wahoo and King Mackerel are two of my favorites that can be caught on the east coast. If you are talking strictly fresh or inshore I like spanish and fluke too. Not much of a freshwater eater but like the fella from kentucky said its probably what you're raised on. Quote
Peter E. Posted April 30, 2007 Posted April 30, 2007 I would happily eat flounder at least twice a week for the rest of my life. Quote
Avalonjohn44 Posted May 3, 2007 Posted May 3, 2007 Florida Grouper is great, I can't imagine a Vacation down there without a grouper sandwich. I also had rockfish recently and was very surprised how tasty it was. Meat was very firm too. Quote
Big T Posted May 6, 2007 Posted May 6, 2007 Flounder are o.k., inshore saltwater I love Sheepshead and my favorite offshore fish are Dolphin, Yellowfin and Wahoo. I would not turn any of these down. I am a big steak eater but I would eat fish three to four times a week if I could get them fresh everyday. Tony Quote

Catch them all summer off of Cape Hatteras Quote
extreme1018 Posted May 7, 2007 Posted May 7, 2007 i prefer spots inshore and dolphin off shore..... i always love goin to the intracoastal waterway to find a bunch of vacationers out fishing. i usually ask them if they are catching anything and i usually get this response " hell hea, weve been catching spots all day long here you wanna look atem" they then proceed to reveal an impressive catch of pinfish..........lol........... then i say yup those are some nice ones and walk away with a smile Quote
