Dobyns 733 that I really didn't need. Waiting for it to arrive in the next couple of days.

Thank God for no ice outs here in sunny south Florida. :)

Is that the Savvy or Champion or Champ Extreme ?

Savvy.  Came in unexpectedly today.

I've got a 703 Champion on order as well.  I'm not ready to drop the cash on a Champion Extreme.  Thats a bit out of my price range.

I may have to sell a Crucial or two soon....

I actually cancelled the order on my Champion after playing around with the Savvy for a while. I am completely impressed with that rod. It just oozes quality. I'm sure I'll wind up getting the Champion before too long anyway, but if the entire Savvy lineup is this good, who knows. As far as I understand, the blanks are the same between the Savvy and the Champion, there are just different components used. Better cork, guides, hook keeper, etc etc.

I definitely like the color scheme of the Savvy more.

As far as the braid goes, I played around a bit with some fluoro and co-poly mainlines, back to braid though.  Plenty of sensitivity with both of them, but I'm a braid with a leader kind of person.  I just love having that instant hook setting power at any distance.

Really? So that would mean there is no reason for a 17 year old to pay $250 compared to $170 for the 7'6 HF model....

Although I just looked and realized the Savvy 766 doesn't have the cutout reel seat...wonder why?

20# & 30# PowerPro

30# Sufix Performance braid

3 Renosky spinnerbaits

4 bags Charmer floating worms

2 bags Rage Tail Space Monkey

2 bags NetBait Baby Mad Paca

3 bags Zoom Brush Hogs

Pflueger Supreme XT (9235)

6'6" MH BPS Carbonlite spinning rod

Bought the Supreme XT/Carbonlite combo @ BPS for $200, so the rod only cost me $50. I still think the guides are crap, but there's no denying the sensitivity of the blank. As much as I hate to admit it, I'm actually impressed.   :-[

I have not bought something fishing related in about 8 months... :)

Just bought a 06 tracker 175.  Then a HB 798 along with a navionics chip and a new motorguide for it.

I just ordered some semi-finished (painted, but no eyes or top coat) spinnerbait heads from NorthStar. This will allow me to compare different blade, skirt, and arm length configurations without swapping components while I'm on the water.

Saturday I bought the River 2 Sea Diving Frog.  I cannot wait to use it.  My only concern is the legs on this thing.  I can see a bass snapping the legs off pretty easily.
