Super User BASSclary Posted October 9, 2010 Super User Posted October 9, 2010 Took the Quad Challenge,,, and I failed. :-[ The quad challenge originated back when my dad worked for ValueCity back in the day and I went to work with him often. He was the Warehouse Manager. Basically it was a challenge in the warehouse that if you could eat a Quad whopper from Burger King, a Large fry and a large soda, somebody else would pay for it IF you could go 6 hours without going to the bathroom. Needless to say only 2 people have done it to this date. And yesterday,, I failed. :-[ Quote

Yeah, it's a cool little gun. Now I just have to find a 'smith who can do a decent trigger job and mill the stock front sight off and replace it with an XS Big Dot night sight. Once that's done, it'll be the perfect front pocket/ankle gun for me. The Glock 26 it replaced was just too thick and blocky for pocket carry. Quote

Super User slonezp Posted October 9, 2010 Super User Posted October 9, 2010 A S&W 638 to replace my G26... and a like-new S&W Sigma 9mm...well...because it was only $200... The 9 looks like a cross between a Springfield and a Ruger. How many rounds in the mag? Have you fired it? How does it feel? Quote
Stasher1 Posted October 10, 2010 Posted October 10, 2010 The 9 looks like a cross between a Springfield and a Ruger. How many rounds in the mag? Have you fired it? How does it feel? Haven't fired it yet. It's very similar to a Glock internally, but with a MUCH heavier trigger and a much more ergonomic grip. Holds 16 rds in the mag and is a natural pointer. I've already dismantled it, polished the internals and slide flats, recontoured the mag baseplates for more comfortable carry, cut a piece of innertube to put around the grip, and added a set of Meprolight night sites. I'll probably hit the range next week and put a couple hundred rounds thru it to make sure it functions properly, then it'll take over as my bedside gun and the Glock will go back into the safe.
