Stasher1 Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 St. Croix Avid AVS63MLXF Shimano Stradic CI4 I've been eyeballin' that one myself. If you don't mind me asking, what applications do you use it for and how do you like it? Quote
Super User J Francho Posted June 18, 2010 Super User Posted June 18, 2010 Specifically for flick shake. It will also be great for skipping flukes and Senkos under docks, even vertical drop shot, though I have a slightly longer rod for that. Quote

I'm kinda looking for a do-it-all spinning rod that I can use as a loaner for my brother-in-law next month. I used to have a 6'6" MF Crucial that filled this role, but I got rid of it due to a defect in the cork. I may just cheap out and pick up a 6'6" MF Premier or something similar. Heck, I ought to let him use the Triumph I keep in the back of my truck. To the OP, sorry for the sidetracking your thread. Quote
Super User Redlinerobert Posted June 18, 2010 Super User Posted June 18, 2010 I've been on a boot buying spree. Picked these up last week. Liberty Boot Company, "Big Devils" Old Gringo eagle boots. I call them Trans Am boots. ;D Quote
b.Lee Posted June 18, 2010 Author Posted June 18, 2010 My dropshot, light crankbait rod, flukes CI4 2500, with Crucial 7' MH I really like how the reel is lockdown on the rod Quote

b.Lee Posted June 19, 2010 Author Posted June 19, 2010 I'm speaking generally, because yourself and I, with Robert occasionally will make repeat posts in this thread LOL Quote
Super User J Francho Posted June 19, 2010 Super User Posted June 19, 2010 I hear ya. I should be more pumped. Generally, I do a cash deal on a barely used car. This is a loan, on a brand new one. We'll see, since a have a few years to decide, LOL. I'll be pumped in the morning when I figure out all the gadgets. At least the cab is big enough to take 7'+ rods. Quote
