Super User BASSclary Posted January 15, 2011 Super User Posted January 15, 2011 FishinDaddy, I really like that picture with the different golds, and the small splash of blue. Would you mind if I used that for my computer background? Quote
CSimon2 Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 Being new to this forum, I just saw this thread today for the first time. Here is my first pic. It is a pic of the Sanibel Island lighthouse in FL. Quote
FordNFishinLover Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 Heres a picture of a trail i took this week. We had just gotten 5 inches of snow, so i said what the heck and suited up to go take some pictures. This is about a mile into the trail. Was super cold, but worth it as i had fun. Quote
NateFollmer Posted January 15, 2011 Author Posted January 15, 2011 Good stuff! Great to see some new people! This shot is pretty boring and was shot with my phone, but I think it's pretty cool how a small creek had enough power to flip an island... It was probably 12 foot high (the root system) Quote
fishn hard Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 Hows this for a fishing partner this old boy came up to the boat wile i was fishing my last Tournament of 2010 Quote
NateFollmer Posted January 15, 2011 Author Posted January 15, 2011 Where the heck was that? I start sweating when they are 100 yards out, I would have crapped my pants... Quote
fishn hard Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 I was on the point of mile marker 24 At Raystown And if you look close you can see his lip curled as he is huffing and growling at us i took this with my cell phone he was about 3 foot away Quote
NateFollmer Posted January 15, 2011 Author Posted January 15, 2011 That's awesome! Did he try to get in the boat? Lol Quote
fishn hard Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 LOL you know that's funny because right after i took that pic he decided that he had enough of the Allison being so close to him my buddy was running the TM when i took the pic and as soon as i did he swam under the boat and actually hit the TM shaft me and Joby took of for the back of the boat at the same time we thought he was gonna throw a paw up and come on in as we got the back deck we both thought the same thing at the same time that this was not a good idea LOL man you should have seen both of us trying to get under the wheel and get the boat started it was some funny **** well now it is ;D ;D 8-) 8-) Quote

Would you mind if I used that for my computer background? It's actually one of Nicole's picks from the back of the boat, but she said use if you like it. Quote
NateFollmer Posted January 21, 2011 Author Posted January 21, 2011 Cool pic! Was that a step ladder or like a 4 footer? Quote
Super User fourbizz Posted January 21, 2011 Super User Posted January 21, 2011 It's a 6 footer. I basically wade out until the water is almost over my waders, then plant the ladder. It also provides me with a stripping basket which is a neccesity for the shooting head system I am using. Lots of fun, but your feet hurt like hell after 10 hours in 40 degree water on those narrow steps. Quote
Hamby Posted January 21, 2011 Posted January 21, 2011 One of the giraffes at Brookfield Zoo. I live like 10 minutes from that zoo. It's alright, but the one in Tulsa OK was better. Quote

Super User J Francho Posted January 26, 2011 Super User Posted January 26, 2011 Not bad, Nate. Get rid of the OOF foregrounds, though. Otherwise, the subjects look great. Quote
NateFollmer Posted January 27, 2011 Author Posted January 27, 2011 Thanks J. I just used a piece of poster board and two desk lamps. Took the shade off one to use as fill and the other controlled shadows. Ill remember to fix the foreground DOF when I shoot them all (they are for a review). I also desaturated the entire scene but masked out the fly. Gives it a little more pop ha Quote

The zoo is not too bad. I have 3 kids and they enjoy going, so we became members. I have not been to many other zoos besides this one so I have nothing to compare it too. Quote
