FishinDaddy, I really like that picture with the different golds, and the small splash of blue.

Would you mind if I used that for my computer background?

Being new to this forum, I just saw this thread today for the first time. Here is my first pic. It is a pic of the Sanibel Island lighthouse in FL.

Heres a picture of a trail i took this week. We had just gotten 5 inches of snow, so i said what the heck and suited up to go take some pictures. This is about a mile into the trail. Was super cold, but worth it as i had fun.

Good stuff! Great to see some new people!

This shot is pretty boring and was shot with my phone, but I think it's pretty cool how a small creek had enough power to flip an island... It was probably 12 foot high (the root system)

It's actually one of Nicole's picks from the back of the boat, but she said use if you like it.

It's a 6 footer. I basically wade out until the water is almost over my waders, then plant the ladder. It also provides me with a stripping basket which is a neccesity for the shooting head system I am using. Lots of fun, but your feet hurt like hell after 10 hours in 40 degree water on those narrow steps.

I rode my bike through trails like that a lot last year. A bit too busy this year though.

Not bad, Nate.  Get rid of the OOF foregrounds, though.  Otherwise, the subjects look great.

Thanks J. I just used a piece of poster board and two desk lamps. Took the shade off one to use as fill and the other controlled shadows. Ill remember to fix the foreground DOF when I shoot them all (they are for a review). I also desaturated the entire scene but masked out the fly. Gives it a little more pop ha

One of the giraffes at Brookfield Zoo.

I live like 10 minutes from that zoo. It's alright, but the one in Tulsa OK was better.

The zoo is not too bad.  I have 3 kids and they enjoy going, so we became members.  I have not been to many other zoos besides this one so I have nothing to compare it too.
