J, those certainly look like Brown trout to me!  What do you think they are?

Small spots, no red spots, pink bands, and they just don't look like Salmo to me - look more Oncorhynchus.

They are rainbow trout. Very dark, golden colored Rainbows, but just regular old bows.

The spotting is a dead giveaway. Here is a brown from the same water, same day.

OK well I wanna catch some of those browns! LOL! And some of those very dark rainbows! Never caught a rainbow that dark! All of ours are silver/gray!

I too get confused with the trout sometimes. I thought that rainbow I posted back a few pages was a brookie because I never saw a rainbow so dark. Freakin' trout and their color changing ways!

I was told its a spider crab. Its a more of a side picture not head on. It looks extremely fragile.
