Since Long Mike put his up this early, I thought I would also.

How many of you plan to attend the Saturday Night Wine & Cheese Soiree?

It's open to all. We'll have wines and cheeses, of course, as well as a sandwich bar and sides, munchies, etc.

I don't want to have enough for 8 people and have 30 show up. That would be embarassing. It would be rather expensive to have enough for 30, and have only 8 show up.

I don't need to know right this minute, but it would be good to know the weekend before so I can plan it properly.

Thanks,

GK

ghoti, I'm not going to the Road Trip but I am dropping by Saturday evening.  I'm taking the long way from Kansas City to Sikeston, MO via Kentucky Lake to my Dad's to pick him up for fishing.  Since the Lake is only a couple of hours or so from my Dad's I thought I would come over and meet some of you.  Don't worry about providing for me.  I'll be bringing some Kansas City brewed beer to leave with you guys for the week.  (I may drink a couple myself.:))

Isn't a soiree a greek organization for women in college?   ;)

Yes, it will be Boulevard and I will be bringing a few makes and models:  Pale Ale, Amber, Pilsner, and Wheat.  If you have one you like that I'm not bringing let me know and I'll get it.

The models are a great idea.  Unless my wife finds out.

Home brew?

Uncle Leo brought some of his home made wine last year, and it was excellent considering it was the first he had ever made.

I'm looking forward to this year's pressing of Chateau Nuef du Leo.

Senile1, any Boulevard beer you bring will be appreciated. I have yet to have one I didn't like.

You can count the Wat Dept and I to show up, though I'm not sure if we'll be drinking much vino or eating too much.  After a long drive, I will most likely be hitting the bed fairly early that night.

Besides, I was more interested in 7&7 being more of a drink than a time and location.

While cleaning up my inbox I discovered another attendee.

Big-O will be there also.

I have the menu planned and Mary has the wine list.

Anybody else interested? Let me know, please. Everybody is welcome.

Wine and cheese?

I thought this was a fishing event?

Title should read "Miller High Life and Hot Dogs"

Long Mike will also do poetry readings, Roadwarrior may play the Cello depending upon how many Bud Lights he has.

It will be quite the event. No jacket required.
