b.Lee Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 Just thought this would be fun to find out what the meaning behind some of your handles would be. Unless it is obvious like Glenn or Keri's or ILikebass. But if you have some unique name or something you would like to share I think this would be fun. Mine is just my First Initial and last name, not exciting I know, but most of my friends call me B. Lee Name is Brandon btw, and yes like the actor and no my dad is not Bruce Lee. I have heard it all my life. Maybe perhaps get the curiosity out, I know I would like to know the story behind some. Thanks, Brandon Quote
Super User grimlin Posted April 12, 2010 Super User Posted April 12, 2010 Grimlin....Named after the movie character "The Gremlins"....Some reason i always reminded people of those little gremlins running haywire."When" i had hair i had green streaks running down both sides....That also probably helped them give my nickname a little bit. It's been my nickname for years.....and still is. "The Gremlins" was also my favorite movie growing up. ;D...I realize i spell it with an "I" instead of an "E"...There's really no significant reason for that other than that's just the way i spell it... :-[ It seems childish...i know.... ;D Quote

Rebel Angler Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 I chose Rebel Angler cause I thought it sounded pretty cool, plus I'm a rebel cool thread idea! Quote
Super User Lund Explorer Posted April 12, 2010 Super User Posted April 12, 2010 My boat, even though it didn't start that way. I signed up and was going to use the handle Bass_Ackwards until the very next day someone else posted who already used almost the exact same name. The difference between a dash -vs- an underscore was too close and would have led to confusion. So I changed it. Quote

Boogey Man Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 I picked mine because I couldn't think of anything else that wasn't already taken. Crankenstein is what a buddy of mine calls crankbaits. When we're fishing if one of is using a crankbait we'll say "throwin' the ol' crankenstein" or "caught him on the crankentein". Ironically, I'm only a fair-to decent crankbait fisherman. Quote
Super User fishfordollars Posted April 12, 2010 Super User Posted April 12, 2010 Pretty obivious on mine. i love to fish tournaments for cash. and other fishing equipment. Quote
Uncle Leo Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 My name is Leo and a lot of folks who know me think I am a nice guy so they call me Uncle Leo. They do not know me as well as they think. Ha Ha. I do have nieces and nephews also. Quote
zero limit Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 I'm all about catch, photo and release for bass. Lake Michigan fishing is a differnt story Quote
Stasher1 Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 I've been using this name ever since the wife and I got our first joint email account (Juno, lol) in the mid 90's. It's actually the first three letters of my name and the first four letters of my wife's name. Stasher was already taken, so it became Stasher1. I use the same name on every forum I'm registered on, so if you see the user name stasher1 somewhere, chances are pretty good that it's me. Quote
Super User SPEEDBEAD. Posted April 12, 2010 Super User Posted April 12, 2010 SPEEDBEAD is the name of an old model Terminator T-1 spinnerbait. It is the lure that got me hooked on bass fishing. The avatar stays as "The Governator" (when I can get it to stay) for this reason too. Quote
NewAngler Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 I've been fishing for like, fifty years, maybe sixty. That's why I chose mine. Quote
ring fry Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 My favorite Lake Fork Tackle carolina rig bait. Have had it since they first came out. Maybe even a little before, a guide on Fork gave me some in a zip lock bag the first time I used them. Quote
dave Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 When I was born, my mother named me David and I decided to be creative and go with Dave. I know, I know, it sounds crazy but, it's working for me so far. Quote
IDbasser Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 mine is simple, abbreviation for Idahobasser Quote
HuntFishAK Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 Mine is pretty obvious. I hunt and fish in the Spokane area. Quote
CFFF 1.5 Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 Mine is the abbreviation of my website that I have not had the time to update in a while. I had to add something to end because the username couldn't be the same as the login name. So I changed it from CFFF to CFFF 1.5. I didn't like CFFF1 or CFFF2. Quote
senko_77 Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 When I first joined back in 05', I was a senko addict, so I went with Senko77. I wish I could change it because I very rarely throw senkos now, but since I've had it for so long, people know me as it....so I just stick with it. Quote
Super User .ghoti. Posted April 12, 2010 Super User Posted April 12, 2010 Just about every forum member I've met has pronounced my "handle" Gotti; like the New York Mafioso. Not exactly what I intended. It's a play on pronunciation. GH as in rouGH O as in wOmen TI as in naTIon. Quote
Super User Grey Wolf Posted April 12, 2010 Super User Posted April 12, 2010 I've been fishing for like, fifty years, maybe sixty. That's why I chose mine. Says the 24 year old gentleman. Quote
