OHIO Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 I picked him up today from the local shelter. He's about 6 weeks old and 5-6 pounds. He's all brown except for his tail. My Dad named him Rufus and it's sticking pretty good. Quote

Super User BASSclary Posted February 5, 2011 Super User Posted February 5, 2011 That's one fine looking pup you got there. 8-) Btw nice Avatar pic, that was one of my favorite episodes of Scooby Doo. Quote
OHIO Posted February 5, 2011 Author Posted February 5, 2011 Thanks. He is really energetic. He's only laid down once and it wasn't for long. Probably just excited about being out of the pound. I was wondering about my avatar pic. It's different when I'm on Internet Explorer and Google Chrome. Quote

I just checked GC, FF, and IE and its all the same. It happens to me when I switch avatars too. Some browsers will have it, while others will not for a few weeks. Try deleting your cookies. Quote

airborne_angler Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 Cute Pup!! I am the proud owner of a Chocolate Lab myself, which your looks like. Smart,Loyal but a PITA when it comes to retrieving. This dog has OCD. He never wants to quit. Hell bring you the smallest grain of gravel and want you to throw it. If you do,that dog will spend hours trying to find it. All day everyday. I didnt have to teach him ANYTHING about retrieving, hes just a born natural. Quote

Hamby Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 I got a new dog from a shelter a couple months ago. Border collie and beagle mix it appears to be. Very smart and obedient dog. The last one would see another dog from a mile away and take off. This one will start to run after something, but come back mid chase no problem. I couldn't believe it when they told me she hadbeen into that same shelter twice in the past year. I was relieved to hear the owners brought her in each time due to financial hardship. Looking to get another hopefully. Something small though. This one is 30lbs and inm loking to get one less thn that. A puggle for adoption recently caught my eye...cute little dogs if they take after the beagle more than the pug. Quote
