Simp Posted July 14, 2008 Posted July 14, 2008 Has anybody used these??? My local walmart sells them and crappie versions for just 4 bucks. Three come in each package and they are pre rigged. They certainly have a great paint job but I have no idea how well they swim. Quote
Cory20 Posted July 14, 2008 Posted July 14, 2008 I haven't used them, but the general consensus is you get what you pay for. Quote
CookieMonst3r Posted July 14, 2008 Posted July 14, 2008 They work great me and my friends catch 3+ pound Bass on those things. Quote
Grandpa Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 Unable to get them to run straight. Complete waste of money, and I like some of the other Storm baits. Quote
catchnm Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 From what I've been able to gather they are better suited for vertical jigging or slow yo-yo type presentations. I don't think they were designed for swimming. Don't own any but that's what I believe to be true. Probably would be better suited to present to bedding bass instead of post-spawn or feeding bass. BadKarma42 Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 They swim just fine. The tail wiggles and wobbles very well. I am referring to the sunfish with the chartruse spot on the tail. Quote
Super User Wayne P. Posted July 16, 2008 Super User Posted July 16, 2008 If you lighten the internal weight some, it works better. Quote
JShrock07 Posted July 17, 2008 Posted July 17, 2008 HAHAHAHA here is a link to what storm can do for you!!! Man what a joke!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Quote
Simp Posted July 17, 2008 Author Posted July 17, 2008 Heres a video of the action. I think this is a better representation of what the action would be in the water. Quote
Simp Posted July 25, 2008 Author Posted July 25, 2008 Well I've put them to use on a couple outings to a very large pond (more like a small lake) and have had some nice fish with it. Here is a pic of one of them and they seem to slam them!! So far I'm very happy with them. The key seems to be to fish it iratically. I like to jerk it up and down left and right pause a few seconds then give it some speed. Don't just reel it in a machine like manor. BTW I just picked up some AWESOME looking 6 inch Wildeye swim shad on sale for $2.77 a pack at dicks. I'm serouis these things look amazing and can't wait to try them out! They even have the hologram thing going for fish scales and I can even see veins when I hold them up to the light! Quote
kb929cdx Posted July 25, 2008 Posted July 25, 2008 have to agree,I never could get these things to run straight, always run side ways, but if you use it to bed fish it's alrite just trow it in the bed and twicth it! Quote
