brgbassmaster Posted January 25, 2008 Author Posted January 25, 2008 i thought it had a really nice shad color now hopefully it runs true. Quote
Avalonjohn44 Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 I like it a lot. Sexy Shad kind of color. How much? Quote
brgbassmaster Posted January 25, 2008 Author Posted January 25, 2008 $4.39 not bad they had some smaller ones that looked like the baby 1 minus with this color. Quote
AKFerzy7 Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 you sure thats not a lucky craft? it looks dead on to their chartreuse shad. maybe a cb100. Quote
Jake. Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 you sure thats not a lucky craft? it looks dead on to their chartreuse shad. maybe a cb100. That's what I thought at first, I think it's just a knockoff though. Quote
Dean Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 Ditto on the knockoff. Def. think that looks like a lucky craft. But ah well, its 1/3 the price, why not buy it? Quote
brgbassmaster Posted January 25, 2008 Author Posted January 25, 2008 im 100% its not a lucky craft the box that i bought in from academy said h20 express. its like a new line they have there. i thought it looked alot like one. Quote
The_Natural Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 H20 baits are an Academy 'house' bait...they copied several different companies baits, including the Bandits, Lucky Craft RC series, and a couple of others. The RC knockoffs are the best looking of the bunch. They have two loud knocker rattles vs. the silent RC. Several folks have said they run true out of the box, and are very excited about using them this season. They were $3.49 at my Academy...I'm going to pick up a few myself. Quote
Super User Sam Posted January 25, 2008 Super User Posted January 25, 2008 I think it also resembles one of the Bandits. I am sure I saw the same design today in the Bandit lure section. But it does not matter. Just throw her. The fish have no idea of the brand, cost or where she came from. Quote
7magJake Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 I have a few H2O express baits even though my soul belongs to Bill Lewis, They look great, I have uyet to fish one but they look better than some ofg the other baits in the junk Academy sales. Quote
Super User Dan: Posted January 26, 2008 Super User Posted January 26, 2008 someone made a thread about the H2O baits a few days ago and nobody posted anything. Let me know how they run, I would like to get some LC colored cranks for 1/3 the price if they run well... Quote

Super User T-rig Posted January 26, 2008 Super User Posted January 26, 2008 That bait looks good and the price is even better. Looks alot like the LC Fat BDS. Quote
The_Natural Posted January 26, 2008 Posted January 26, 2008 That bait looks good and the price is even better. Looks alot like the LC Fat BDS. If you see it in person, it is a duplicate of the RC series. The Fat BDS is well...fatter and has a wider lip. Down here in Texas angler are buying them up. Quote
Super User T-rig Posted January 26, 2008 Super User Posted January 26, 2008 Found this bait on ebay that looks similar: http://cgi.ebay.com/GamaPros-FATZ-BOY-Shallow-Running-Crank-Chart-Shad_W0QQitemZ290171301956QQihZ019QQcategoryZ7300QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQtrksidZp1638.m118.l1247QQcmdZViewItem Quote
DaHorns Posted January 26, 2008 Posted January 26, 2008 Whats up everyone? I picked up a couple over the past week, I have used a couple of them out here on Lake Travis in Austin with good results. Also, I have not had to make any adjustments to the baits out of the package, they have all run true. I also have the dive depths if your interested..... Check them out, I dont think you will be disappointed. Models: CSH Crankin' Shad 2 to 5 feet CRS Crankin Shallow 4 to 6 feet CRM Crankin" Medium 5 to 8 feet CRD Crankin" Deep 12 to 18 feet S - Shallow 2 to 5 feet M - Medium 4 to 8 feet D - Deep 8 to 12 feet JS - Jerkin' Shad 2 to 4 feet TWS - Top Water My favorite colors so far are Mountain Doo and Shadtruese. They also have a nice selection of H2OExpress casting reels and new rods called Texas Slam by H2OExpress. Quote
The_Natural Posted January 26, 2008 Posted January 26, 2008 That bait looks good and the price is even better. Looks alot like the LC Fat BDS. Ahh...BDS3. I can see that. I was thinking the BDS2 which is a lot fatter. It weird that Lucky craft went short and fat on the BDS1&2, but long and skinny on the BDS3&4. Quote
tfisherman Posted January 26, 2008 Posted January 26, 2008 Excalibur has the same color on it's baits (pearl shad). For the price I'll check it out though! Quote
DaHorns Posted January 27, 2008 Posted January 27, 2008 Finally had a chance to go out and throw these cranks this morning. All I can say is they look great in the water and all 5 that I tried ran true right out of the package, no tuning needed at all. Also found out that the CSH is a suspending bait. I was able to hook up with 4 fish on the cranks today all coming off the shadtruse pattern. Just wanted to let y'all know about these baits and their performance. Quote
Super User Dan: Posted January 27, 2008 Super User Posted January 27, 2008 thanks, Dahorns, I'll be sure to check them out this spring when I get close to an Academy. Quote
njbassguy Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 I received a few from this guy in Alabama and they run pretty true . s runs like the bandit crs runs just like the lc's I am waiting on the model m's . crm's are a size between 2.5 and 3.5 if you want a bait that big. get diamond dust and the new chartreuse ones. awesome colors. Thanks Kev Quote
Super User Grey Wolf Posted July 24, 2008 Super User Posted July 24, 2008 Only a newbe would bring up a 7 month old thread. Quote
Avalonjohn44 Posted July 25, 2008 Posted July 25, 2008 I'm still waiting to get my hands on a few of these baits... Quote
