Super User Sam Posted January 31, 2011 Super User Posted January 31, 2011 Being from south Louisiana we always talk and think about food. After much thought, I think I will forgo my fried oyster Po Boys and head to Long John Silver's for their $10 Family Fish Meal. Add some Barq's (Its Good!) and I am ready to watch the game. Plus the fact that my wife enjoys LJS and can partake with me during the game. So what plans do you have to eat and drink this coming Sunday??? Quote
Super User Gone_Phishin Posted January 31, 2011 Super User Posted January 31, 2011 That's easy: Quote
Super User Bassn Blvd Posted January 31, 2011 Super User Posted January 31, 2011 Mushroom, pepperoni, green pepper and black olive pizza. Soda. Chips and jalapeno hummus. Quote

Super User grimlin Posted January 31, 2011 Super User Posted January 31, 2011 Gonna talk the wife into letting me get some buddy's pizza. Quote
1inStripes Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 Sam I am disappointed. You are giving up fresh fried oyster po' boys for LJS. LJS is terrible. Now, the Barq's is some good stuff. I think at this point and time it will be homemade hot wings and who knows what else. Quote

Hamby Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 Whatever my friend is making. He likes spicy stuff. He makes these awesome cheese roll-ups with jalepenos or habeneros. The cheese tones down the spiciness going in, but does nothing for the other end. I hope the packers lose. Quote
Super User SoFlaBassAddict Posted January 31, 2011 Super User Posted January 31, 2011 Pizza Wings Ribs More Ribs A few extra ribs Some more wings Something really bad for me that I'll regret the next morning. Then I'll say I need to buy stock in Charmin. Beer Soda Strong possibility of a glass of rum or two with a cigar Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted January 31, 2011 Super User Posted January 31, 2011 My wife likes to make a variety of appetizers through the day, then dinner during halftime: Ribs Beans Slaw Potato salad bud...bud...bud...Budweiser Quote
Fish Chris Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 What's the "Superbowl" ? I guess it doesn't really matter, as all you would have to do is to tell me what time this Superbowl thing is, and with my daily intake being so consistently planned to the 'T' everyday, I could probably tell you exactly what I will be eating Life is too short to sit at home and watch somebody else actually participating in their passion, on your TV ! If your into football, why aren't you out there on that field playing it !?!? Your not good enough ? Then choose something you are good at ! But don't just sit there ! Time is wasting ! Peace, Fish Quote

The smoker will be fired up and the tops will pop off as many beers as I feel are appropriate. Good times. Quote

Peace, Fish I"m good at fishing...but right now a thick layer of ice is preventing me from going. :'( ;D Until then I have no choice to to sit at home and watch some TV. I'm coming in at 5'3" 200 pounds, an NFL pro football player would literally mow my butt over on the field.I don't feel like being a bench warmer to be honest. I usually agree,Life is too short to sit around at home....but let's face it...Superbowls are fun to watch and they only come around once a year. Quote

Super User Tin Posted January 31, 2011 Super User Posted January 31, 2011 Probably be at home doing homework or at the gym. I doubt I will even watch it. Since the Pats game I have not even been able to watch Sportcenter. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted January 31, 2011 Super User Posted January 31, 2011 I remember the AFL-NFL World Championship Game like it was yesterday. My Kansas City Chiefs vs The Pack! That game is now Super Bowl I. On January 11, 1970 the Chiefs beat the Vikings 23-7, my senior year in high school. Still a dyed-in-the-wool Chiefs fan, my wife and I moved to Denver just in time for the arrival of John Elway. Back then the playoffs just weren't good enough, Bronco fans expected our boys to be in the Super Bowl. The Green Bay - Denver game may have been the best Super Bowl ever played, it certainly was for me! I have never been to the Big Game, but I have not missed watching one either. As long as I'm breathing, that will never happen. 8-) Quote
Super User Bankbeater Posted February 1, 2011 Super User Posted February 1, 2011 Probably snow and ice the way it looks right now. Quote
