Super User bilgerat Posted February 2, 2011 Super User Posted February 2, 2011 Sorry, can't name just one. Here's part of Dazed and Confused http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9oxiTKkEcXM&feature=related ...1:30 Jimmy gettin' down with the fancy footwork ;D This Royal Albert Hall show from '70 is them at their peak IMO. Jimmy is on fire, Bonham and Jones are monsters. The Song Remains the Same pales in comparison. Quote

Super User A-Jay Posted February 2, 2011 Super User Posted February 2, 2011 Mine is "No Quarter" ~ Coincidentally, the lyrics are fairly appropriate considering the current weather across the country. 8-) A-Jay "No Quarter" Close the door, put out the light. You know they won't be home tonight. The snow falls hard and don't you know? The winds of Thor are blowing cold. They're wearing steel that's bright and true They carry news that must get through. They choose the path where no-one goes. They hold no quarter. Walking side by side with death, The devil mocks their every step The snow drives back the foot that's slow, The dogs of doom are howling more They carry news that must get through, To build a dream for me and you They choose the path where no-one goes. They hold no quarter. They ask no quarter. The pain, the pain without quarter. They ask no quarter. The dogs of doom are howling more! Quote
Super User slonezp Posted February 2, 2011 Super User Posted February 2, 2011 Did they start putting out good music or are you talking about the blues knock offs from 40 years ago? Quote
bmadd Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 Did they start putting out good music or are you talking about the blues knock offs from 40 years ago? Most of my favorites are actually their blues covers. You do know they weren't the only ones to cover blues artists? The majority of the great blues artists before them and even the modern blues artists cover each other. It's accepted. That being said, "Travelling Riverside Blues" and "When the levee breaks" are probably my too favorite. Quote
RussBert Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 Latey I've been digging "Since I've Been Loving You" and "Four Sticks" The Robert Plant special on Palladia network has a killer version of Four Sticks Quote
