Olebiker Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 I'm pretty sure that is a cultivator. It's adjustable for the width of the row being cultivated. It would follow right behind the wheel of a tractor like the cultivators in this picture: Quote

I'm intimately familiar with hay rakes. And that, sir, is no hay rake. Quote
Super User CWB Posted January 27, 2011 Super User Posted January 27, 2011 Doesn't anyone have an old copy of the Redneck Almanac that would have a picture of it? ;D Quote
OHIO Posted January 27, 2011 Author Posted January 27, 2011 I just went back out and was able to lift it out of the ground. There were spots for wheels, but no wheels. The rods that were in the ground were curved and shaped a little like a hand shovel. I would have gotten a picture, but I don't have a flash on my phone. Just thought I'd let you guys know. Quote
Milton Waddams Posted January 28, 2011 Posted January 28, 2011 it is definitely a harrow, they come in endless shapes, sizes and styles. Quote
=Matt 5.0= Posted January 29, 2011 Posted January 29, 2011 It probably is some type of farm equipment, but now I'm wondering how it ended up in the middle of the woods. :-? What is now woods could have been open farmland just 30 years ago. My father's farm is now a complete pine forest. And that's only in 15 years. Pretty damned depressing. Quote
